WHY OUR PXB-MOUSE IS THE WORLD'S MOST USED AND RENOWNED MODEL FOR DRUG DEVELOPMENT
PXB-mice are certified by our quality control criteria.
Study services with PXB-mice are only conducted with animals which have their liver repopulated with 70% human hepatocytes or greater.
The criteria for our PXB-Mouse Quality Control is as follows:
Replacement Index [RI]:? 70%? (RI is calculated by blood human Albumin concentration)
Body Weight:? 16 g
Age:12 – 18 weeks old at start of the study
We recommend to use animals with RI of 80 to 85%, which are the majority of our mouse stock production.
High quality is ensured by large scale production
PhoenixBio is able to provide top-notch mice from our mouse stock for your study, in which 100 PXB-mice are supplied every week.
1. Stable human albumin levels
We provide chimeric mice made with the cDNA-uPA transgene. These mice represent our proprietary liver disease model and are stable at a high level of blood human albumin for more than 25 weeks, showing that the livers of the PXB-mice are able to maintain a humanized condition for a long period of time.
2. Stable body weights
PXB-mice maintain a long-term stable and consistent body weight. This allows for the PXB-model to be utilized for long-term studies.
3. Highly humanized condition
It is observed via Microarray analysis that almost all the genes which are expressed in a normal human liver are also expressed in the PXB-Mouse liver.
Please use the link below to look up specific human gene expression levels found in our PXB-Mouse, and see if our mouse model is capable of expressing your gene of interest.
